Garage Floor Paint - Keep it Simple and Less Expensive

Painting a garage floor can be like a daunting project. There are many different products available. They all seem to have different durability, difficulty to apply, and expense. A customer of mine asked me to paint their garage floor but had no expectations on cost and or time to apply. I looked at a number of different options and came up with a solution that best suited their needs. Instead of applying a complicated and expensive epoxy based garage floor coating, I painted it instead. This isn't just a garden variety paint. There are a few excellent concrete floor paints available. They are all very durable. The best part of using concrete floor paint is the amount of time it takes to complete the job versus applying an epoxy based solution. There are just two steps in using concrete floor paint - clean and paint. The epoxy based solution requires many steps and can take over a week to complete (even longer if the weather doesn't cooperate. The other great thing about using concrete floor paint is it costs a fraction of using epoxy based coatings.
